Ratha Yatra is happens surrounded by various place of India, but its main origins in Puri in Orissa.

Let’s know some unknown information about the chariot;

 

Load Jagannath gets a new chariot every year, here news means NEW & in other word is called devotion, means Load Jagannath gets a new chariot that made by the people’s devotion.

Drag the chariot with the rope is called ‘Basuki’. That is why it is said which pulls this rope, they gets virtue.

There are 42 wheels in Puri’s chariot. (14 wheels of the chariot of Load ‘Baladev’, 16 wheels of the chariot of Load ‘Jagannath Dev’, & the 12 wheels of the chariot of ‘Subhadra Devi’.)

When the whole chariot is running on the way, three line made at that time on the way that called ‘Ganga’, ‘Jamuna’ & ‘Saraswati’.

 

Load Jagannath Dev’s chariot name is ‘Nandighosh’ or ‘Kapidhabatch’. The color of the chariot is yellow. This chariot has 16 wheels.

Load Balabhadra’s chariot name is ‘Taldhabatch’ or ‘Halldhabatch’. This chariot has 14 wheels.

Devi Subhadra’s chariot name is ‘Darpadalan’ or ‘Padmadhabatch’. This chariot has 12 wheels. The height of the chariot is 31 hands.

The whole chariot is made of wood, Load Jagennath Dev’s chariot is made with 206 of woods. Same as, there are 206 bones in our body.

When the chariot moves forward, then the first chariot has remain of Load ‘Balabhadra’, then the 2nd one is Devi Subhadra & the last one is Load Jagannath Dev.
